Artist Biography
Ted Johnson uses a unique technique to provide stunning visual effects. His engravings are painted using fluid acrylics and a watercolor wash technique. His subjects are typically people - whether this be individual faces, full figures, or groups. When speaking about his work, Johnson said: "I attempt to develop the individual characters to the level of real personalities; people that you bring home to live with you." Johnson’s work broadly varies in terms of theme as well usually depicting a theme with a mini-story, with these stories ranging from the negative and unhappy to the joyous, happy, and whimsical.
