Artist Biography
Gwen Joy has been making art her whole life, and especially enjoys creating fantastical creatures - what you might consider an accessible form of Surrealism. Her art has a warm tone and is accessible and appeals to a whole range of people, not just those schooled in art. She strives to make her art appeal to people at an emotional level. Joy also paints purses, pillows, clothing, and jewelry at the Pure Detroit Design Lab.
