The one constant in my life has been my passion to create. My attraction to
drawing, painting, building and altering objects began at
a very early age where all of my leisure time was spent generating
some form of art. My inspiration is akin to a beast. Once
the Beast surfaces, it embraces me and will not free me until
the concept is complete. Art is my obsession, predominantly
the art of warm glass. After enrolling in a warm glass class
in 2004, I was infatuated with the media. There is no specific
element or individual that I can say inspires me. My muse
is merely the world that surrounds me. However, I marvel at
the work of Salvador Dali for its incredible surrealistic
detail and deliberation, the work of Piet Mondrain for its
simplicity and the work of Freda for its heartrending despondency.
In an effort to generate distinctive glass pieces, I feel
that it is valuable to incorporate texture and depth. My glass
art pieces are whimsical in nature, specifically the sculptured
glass heads. My intent is to provoke a jovial sentiment within
the spectator’s psyche. My objectives are to continue
in this medium that has impassioned me, expand my warm glass
aptitude and to include hot glass into my collection.
